They will all be renumbered to /9s due to the PIS being different to those already in EMR’s fleet.

Northern have been using non-PRM spec 150s without any apology. They haven't even managed to get their guards to ensure announcements are made if the CIS system fails either.
222008 is operating on the Crewe to Derby line today.

Sounds a welcome move for the passengers on that line
156907 has entered service here.

And again today. Crossed it at Alsager at about 1430 presumably running late on the 1407 ex Crewe. 156404 also in use today on the Crewe - Derby so two out of the three diagrams at least were not 153s. That is quite rare during the week.
I wonder if there have been complaints about the non-PRM compliance?
I see more 156s but few 158s on the line to Liverpool now.
Mind you, I rode a 158 from Stoke to Derby on Friday. Then on the way back it was a double 153.
So, allocations of DMUs seem quite fluid now.
A food for thought idea ;
When the Liverpool - Norwich service is split at Nottingham and the Nottingham - Liverpool gets revised to start at Derby , wouldnt extending the service back to Crewe be a good idea.
It maybe that the service cant get through Crewe - Alsager single track and Stoke on Trent areas at the right time for the service to a viable service , another problem maybe Grantham to Stoke Tunnel on the ECML.
Timetable Planning is an art form.
You mean the Nottingham - Norwich section. I personally think there should be better overlaps between the 2 sections, so possibly Norwich - Sheffield and Liverpool - Peterborough would maintain better connections provided the paths are available.
