Usually happens with a technicality with data(?), which can result in operators stopping tracking sometimes.

Has happened in the past with Arriva and HTL.

Edit: Update from Stagecoach from their Twitter

In situations like this its normally a ticket machine provider issue
All now OK again .
As of 10.30 today, Ashcroft are now tracking. I do believe that with the exception of 2 routes, all normal local buses within the Liverpool City Region are now tracking on Bustimes. The 3 operators with local service routes which aren't tracking are Hattons (all), Link Network (329) and Als Coaches (22)

There are also a few schools not tracking. These being Helms of Eastham (the 2 school buses from Wirral to Neston High), Hiltons Travel and of course the Link Network stuff.
Hattons are still to track fully only the 156 is showing out of the Merseyside routes they run

Good point
Same with Selwyns their tendered 44 & 382 services in Greater Manchester don't track for some reason.

They have never tracked on the 44 since they started the tender. I have raised it with them but they didn't seem to want to know unfortunately.

The only way I have found to track them is using the TfGM website which is both a lot more cumbersome and mired with it's own problems.

That is Selwyns way of operating. Ignore all of the issues and keep plodding on hoping that no one else notices.

That is disappointing but not surprising.

Whilst the timing and reliability of the 44 has significantly improved - services used to be 20 minutes late or not even turn up at all - the reputation they have built has forced commuters to use alternative earlier services instead.

Also, the allocation of buses they use has still not been resolved. With it going through Withington housing estate using double deckers / long single deckers they have to mount pavements to maneuverer. I am surprised that TfGM have not done anything about this, being a tendered route.
