I have just come across this proposed timetable from March 2018 for a shuttle from the Vauxhall Football Club site to Overpool Station. The bus will be free to residents and will run half hourly. Has anyone heard who is planned to run this bus? It does say on the website no confirmed start date but someone must have heard something. Has anyone got any other info?

Could it be the 7 extended?

I doubt it. If it was, it would mean missing out sections or making Tin Town residents go on a rather long diversion.

A solo going down Rivacre Road would be interesting as well. It would be very tight especially if something comes the opposite way. Cars don't exactly go 30 round there either so it would likely cause an accident. I think it would have to be a minibus (and unless Stagecoach get the minibuses from Ashford, i doubt they will be running it as part of the 7).

If it was to be a bus route it would have to run via Hooton Crossroads or Eastham Ferry. I would assume this would be a minibus given there aren't that many houses being built and the fact the bus doesn't serve Ellesmere Port town centre (which it has the time to do).

The route looks like it was made as part of thing there developers have to put money into improving transport and this was the best way to do it by making it as unattractive as possible so the funding runs out quicker. Really the route should be a brand new local stopping minibus route and make it incorporate areas like Jackswood Estate which has no public transport links but is also too tight for a solo and then link that into Ellesmere Port town.
Nothing more than a planning condition I'm sure. Bob with an 8 seat Transit kind of job. Although technically I'm sure it should be registered.
