Here we go again! However if they couldn't make it work against Avon, not sure how it will go against SC. Nonetheless good to see Helms/ACL back on this route to provide some competition.
Presumably the theory is that a route through the city centre will give an advantage.
Stagecoach are withdrawing the X22 the previous day, so they'll have the route to themselves.

OK just seen the posts on the SC thread. Bollocks to competition then. The real losers here are through passengers to West Kirby. My thought though has always been to cut out West Vale/Little Neston particularly since the 487 was rerouted - very few passengers for extra running time - and this certainly made the X in X22 redundant.
ACL now seem to own ex-Lothian 533 (V533 ESC) Trident/President decker.
Still wears the checkered 'Harlequin' livery of its previous operator....

Only difference seems to be the 'ACL' lettering in place of 'Lothian'

ACL now own four ex-Lothian Tridents, will be at ACL in Liverpool not Helms, firstly I saw were 533 and 537. They told me that two more on the way from Ensign dealer, so far I know another one will be 532 but another one not know yet.
With Credit to the Merseytravel Website it looks like the Heswall - Chester Service's will be numbered 22,22A and 22B so there might be slightly different routes
Bus number: 22/22A/22B
Run by: Aintree Coachline
Going between: Chester - Heswall
Date service changes: 1st September 2015
What's changing? New service introduced by Aintree Coachline
New timetable available? No
Assume one of them will serve Neston high school as the 272 does
