Been informed there are going to be a transfer of some 40 vehicles which goes as follows:-
VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2s 3033-3042 are leaving Southport for Chester,
ADL Enviro 400s 4637-4646 are leaving Chester for Rhyl,
VDL DB300/ Wright Gemini Pulsar 2s (aka Wright Gemini 2DL integral) 4479-4488 are departing from Rhyl to Speke
where Enviro 400s 4556-4565 will leave Speke to Southport completing the round robin.
These transfers will take place on Sunday so be up bright and early Monday to see them in service at their new depots!

This seems to suggest a downgrade of Chester's 10(A).
Perhaps the Enviro 400s for Southport are for the 47?
Tbh when the Townlynx T1 was Withdrawn i had a feeling this would happen as the services just dont get busy enough for Deckers

I agree really - every 15 minutes and Sapphire deckers on the 10(A) was just too good to be true in the long term.
I wonder if the frequency will start to slide on those routes after a while as well.

I don't think 4646 will go to Rhyl as its a Green Lane vehicle

It might not but if we're losing 10 Geminis and gaining 9 Enviro400s there's going to need to be a 10th bus brought in from somewhere... No idea what though
Had an update this afternoon that the planned cascade may not happen en bloc Sunday. More when I hear from my source.
Are the Pulsars from Southport being refurbished to Sapphire?

I don't think it'll be a downgrade myself - especially if the Pulsars are upgraded to Sapphire standard. In my experience I think Pulsars are the right size buses for that route
Yes. The 47 is being converted to double decker operation
10A will presumably be cancelled soon then, even less PVR then. It's like they're running the depot down ready for closure.
