The Southern side of Liverpool at one time well along time ago always seemed to be more of a mixed bag than the wards to the North and East which always where staunch Labour strongholds.

Did the Lib Dems ever have many seats in the North? I know at one point they did have the Council

Across the country, only 15 Councils changed hands. This is excluding any still under NOC where there was a change to the leading party. I think Trafford was the only one in our area to change hands.
