As most people know, this is the 50:50 joint venture between Centrebus and Wellglade, operating buses from depots at Chapel en le Frith and Dove Holes.
Recent developments include:
Transpeak branded excels 158 (S158 UAL) and 232 (X232 WRA) are now officially restricted to local duties. What where the two Trent Barton liveried Scanias 647/648 are now transpeak vehicles.
Scania / Olympus 907 is now in use on a trial basis on transpeak. Its use will eradicate the need for duplicate runs.
Excels 226/227 have been fitted with LED destination displays.
A number of contract services operated by TM Travel in the Ashbourne area are to be taken over by High Peak. These are the 110/111/112 routes that operate between Ashbourne and Matlock (with many variations) as well as one evening run on the 109 (Ashbourne to Derby via Hulland Ward). It is expected that the current arrangement (whereby the bus that operates these journeys is out stationed at the Trent Barton Belper garage) will remain.
