There's gas buses for Runcorn as well as electric single deckers and diesel double deckers for Green Lane

I heard there were gas buses on order. Do we know what these will be or what chassis they'll have or any more on Green Lane's order? I also thought Green Lane was supposed to be going all double deck.

The gas buses will be further MAN Ecocity's.
Green Lane is not going fully double deck and never was, this was just a wild rumour. Services 6/7/8/9 and 68 are to remain single deck with the 26/27 receiving electric single deckers also (But not for the full allocation).
In theory the electric single deckers will be either the Streetlight Max, Optare Metrocity or the recently relaunched Wright Electrocity (with the 'Pulsar 2' style body).

Motormayhem has said they are in another thread. They'll be the same as the ones Runcorn have already

Enviro400s for the 14 and 18 and electric single deckers (I have heard Optare MetroCity - seems the most likely IMO) for the 26/27 circulars

I can't see that happening any time soon somehow. There are routes operated by Green Lane that simply don't need the extra capacity

If the Green Lane order is back on, then presumably so is the Speke order for new double deckers on the 79. This would allow the Geminis to be cascaded onto the 80 and more of the Commanders to leave, both of which can't happen quickly enough for Speke. Aside from the 500, there really is no place for single deckers at this depot any more.

DB plans for a flotation of possibly up to 40% of Arriva next year.

Which is pretty amazing if you consider that less than ten years ago the 76 was a Merseytravel contract service using a 29 seater MPD that can now sometimes fill a double decker

The 76 serves London Road which makes it quite popular.
