It's supposed to be at the entrance to the area where the commercial music Is played. Technically the licence is required when the music is played where the general public can hear it so as the office isn't open to the public then I'm not sure.
When you purchase your licence which is about £68 a year they send you a set of stickers with your licence to display on the premises so that the public are aware a licence is held and also so Inspectors know a licence is held. I'm not sure how it works given that the music is played on various different vehiches.
A license is required, but stickers do not need to be placed on the vehicles.
Just look at Jim Stones' fleet.

Thats what I were thinking with stickers in the office, I've never seen a sticker on a Jim Stones bus so just thought it'd be in the offices

Apparently stickers don't need to be placed anywhere, they're just given to assist the revenue collection officers.

That's correct I've dug out an old invoice and it's a PPL licence. They send little stickers out and and ask them to be placed where the commercial music is placed to as you say asset officers but also to generally raise awareness as a lot of people don't even realise that a licence is required or what it's for.
