The second vehicle to be repainted into the new Leven Valley Ltd livery is Dennis SPD Y191CFS. Unlike SN51UCR, which was painted at Express Coach Repairs in Pickering, Y191 is the first example to be treated in-house at the depot. Due to a fault with its Power Blinds prior to the repaint, it will be fitted with an LED display prior to re-entering service.

Leven Valley Limited

Y191CFS has now returned to service following it's repaint - it retains it's power blinds set-up and it's Lothian fleet number and has been named 'Robert the Bruce'. Sister 178 is next in line to be treated, this will be named 'Rob Roy'.

A start has also been made on replacing the Compass Royston fleetnames on their vehicles. The first treated is Volvo B7RLE NX59BYC as seen here and here
Leven Valley Limited

In a change to the original plan MPD W794VMV is the third vehicle repainted into the new white livery, and has lost its old name of 'Thunderbird One' for 'Avalon', the repaint happening due to 94 requiring attention. 178 is due to be treated this week , barring any 'vehicle shortages', and will be the last vehicle treated for now.

In a change to the plan in the completely independent days of Leven Valley, Enviro200s 25/91 (T25SVN, YX60DXY) have now been purchased by Kevin Procter and will remain with Leven Valley. They are expected to be repainted during the summer.

As part of a fleet standardisation, coupled with sister companies Esk Valley and Dales & District contract loses (D&D said to be losing 7 buses worth of work, Esk Valley are losing their entire service work, the 115 returning to EYMS) MPDs from the 2 fleets are likely to arrive to replace the Solos, Varios and likely 31/65/93/4. The only vehicle expected to remain from the Compass Royston service fleet is B7RLE NX59BYC, which along with 178/191, will likely appear on the 18/19.

From April 1st, all Compass Royston Contract Services (555/556, 565 and 588/589) will be withdrawn. Likewise, Leven Valley's 506am 507 and 551 are withdrawn from the same date. Service 505 506 (evening and Sunday) and 577 have been retained commercially as the 405/406 and 477. The Stockton-Norton Red Lion section of the 555 will be replaced by the extension of Stagecarriage's service 87 from Stockton to the Red Lion via Albany Estate. The 87 will however, revert to its original route between Stockton and Hartburn, allowing a part-replacement of the 588/589. Other parts of the 588/589 will be covered by re-routed Arriva service 6.
Further updated, especially given new registrations coming in from b]Leven Valley Limited[/b].

From 6th May, the R66/66x will be withdrawn and replaced by hourly services A66 (Teesside Park - Stockton - Norton) and H66 (Teesside Park - Stockton - Hartburn). In addition, from 31st March they will be operating new services 84 and 88/89, the 88/89 in parts replacing uncovered parts of the 555/588/589 in the Billingham area as well as adding new more direct links. The commercially operated 505/506/577 are numbered 85/86 and 77.
Kingsley's MAN saloons AE56 LWN/OUU were both noted in Newcastle on Nexus service 33 today.

Damn it looks like Leven Valley have had a similar fate to Ace Travel. Never got round to using them but seemed a decent outfit. Hope the drivers get jobs ASAP.
So another independent going under , the bus industry just isnt the same without independents as its them that serve areas that the big guns dont want to operate and serve the people not the big profits.

Didn't use it but saw a unbranded white Enviro200 on this route on Saturday. I think I also saw the MAN's out on that route too.
